Cane Hill Kite Fest
In the Hospitality Tent, you will find fantastic food available at very reasonable prices. They have received 5 meows every year for the yummy food. Proceeds from the sale of food will benefit the Blind Hope Cat Sanctuary. You may also bring a sack lunch. The popular fifty-cent raffle (so named because everyone may only buy one fifty-cent ticket) will draw for large nylon kites at 1, 2, and 3 p.m. You must be present to win. After the 2 p.m. drawing, there is a special drawing for kids only to guess how many armadillo holes were filled to provide safe flying for our guests.
Cane Hill Kite Festival 2024 You won’t find a more fun-filled, wallet-friendly event than the Cane Hill Kite Festival held in early March for the last 23 years on the spa cious acres of Springfield Ranch in downtown Cane Hill. From the onset, the goal of the festival was to provide a fun day that did not entail debt. Thanks to our many generous sponsors, anon ymous donors, and all-volunteer work force, we’ve met this mark every year. It has always been $1 for kids and $2 for adults to fly the kites. Military families (active or retired) fly for free. It is free to park and watch and there is also handicap accessible parking. The last two years have seen some families take advantage of the day for birthday celebrations to remember. A wide variety of kites are for sale on site for $1-$18. Cash is pre ferred but checks and PayPal are also accepted. Our kite hospital PhDs (pretty high-flying device specialists) will assemble and repair your kites for free whether you buy them on site or not.
Throughout the day, small prizes will be awarded for silly categories. The fun starts at noon, March 8, 2025, and goes until the last kite comes down around 5 p.m. Springfield Ranch is located at 14306 S Hwy 45, Cane Hill, Arkansas. It is 2.9 miles from the intersection of Hwy 62 and 45. In case of rain or snow, the fallback date will be March 16, 2025. Any last-minute changes may be found by calling 479-824-8109 or on our Cane Hill Kite Festival Facebook page.
