Automatic Recall Retrieve those “just missed” calls quickly and easily
Ever come home and hear the phone ringing as you quickly fumble to open the front door? Don’t worry, with Automatic Recall, just missed incoming calls can be easily retrieved and recalled. If the recalled number is busy, Automatic Recall continues dialing even while you make and receive other calls. How To Use Automatic Recall 1. Pick up the handset and listen for a normal dial tone. 2. Press *69 . (On a rotary phone, dial 1169). You will hear a recording with the last number called and will ask if you want to call back. 3. If you were already on the phone and ignored a call waiting tone, depress the switch hook for one second and release. If The Line Is Busy 1. Hang up. Your phone will keep trying the line for up to 30 minutes. 2. A special callback ring alerts you if the line becomes free. (Some phones ring normally.) 3. Pick up the handset and you’ll hear the called party’s line automatically begin to ring. To Turn Off Automatic Recall 1. Pick up the handset and press *89 . (On a rotary phone dial 1189.) 2. Listen for announcement and hang up.
Automatic Callback Lets you know when a busy line is free Automatic Callback continues to dial and redial busy numbers, alerting you as soon as busy lines are open again. It even allows you to continue to make and receive other calls, while Automatic Callback pursues those callers with busy lines. How To Use Automatic Callback 1. When you’ve made a call and hear a busy signal, depress the switch hook for one second and release. 2. If you’ve already hung up, pick up the handset and listen for a dial tone. 3. Press *66 . (On a rotary phone, dial 1166.) 4. If the line is still busy, you will receive a recording that the party is busy. Hang up; your phone will continue to check the number for 30 minutes. 5. A special callback ring alerts you if the line becomes free. (Some phones ring normally.) 6. Pick up handset and you’ll hear the called party’s line automatically begin to ring. To Turn Off Automatic Callback 1. Depress the switch hook for one second and release. Listen for a special dial tone. 2. If you’ve already hung up, lift the handset and listen for a normal dial tone. 3. Press *86 . (On rotary phone, dial 1186). 4. Listen for confirmation tone or announce- ment and hang up.
