Make a paste out of white corn meal and white vinegar. Coat the tarnished brass with this paste and leave on for five minutes. Wipe off with a soft clean cloth and tarnish will be gone. Buff with a soft clean cloth.

To get rid of perspiration/deodorant stains on the underarms of washable shirts...sponge on, or soak stain in, white vinegar then wait 30 minutes. Launder the shirt in the hottest water safe for the fabric using an enzyme detergent or detergent with bleach alternative.
