CONSUMER RIGHTS Liability Of WK&T In view of the fact that the customer has exclusive control of his communications over the facilities furnished by him to WK&T, and of the other uses for which facilities may be furnished him by WK&T, and because of unavoidableness of errors incident to the services and to the use of such facilities of WK&T, the services and facilities furnished by the cooperative are subject to the terms, conditions and limitations herein specified. The liability of WK&T for damages arising out of mistakes, omissions, interruptions, delays, errors or defects in transmission occurring in the course of furnishing service or other facilities and not caused by the negligence of the customer, shall in no event exceed an amount equivalent to the propo ionate charge to the customer for the period of service during which such mistake, omission, interruption, delay, error or defect in transmission occurs. No other liability shall in any case a ach to WK&T. When the lines of the other telephone companies are used in establishing connections to points not reached by WK&T’s lines, WK&T is not liable for any act or omission of the other company or companies. Interruption Of Service The specific form of rule applicable to interruptions in exchange telephone service is as follows: The utility shall allow, for interruptions in exchange telephone service 24 hours or more not due to conduct of the customer, an amount equal to the fixed monthly charges for exchange service multiplied by the ratio of the days of interruptions to thi y days. When interruptions continue beyond 24 hours, credit allowance will be given in successive 24-hour multiples. Similar, but not identical, provisions apply to private line and other telephone services. For details of provisions covering allowances for interruption in such other services, you should call your service office. Liability For Directory Adve ising For errors or omissions in listings or adve isements in telephone directories, allowances are provided as follows: A. For listings in telephone directories furnished without additional charge, an amount not in excess of the minimum monthly charge to the customer for exchange service during the effective life of the directory in which the error or omission occurred. B. For listings in telephone directories furnished at additional charge, an amount not in excess of the charge for the listing during the effective life of the directory in which the error or omission occurred.

C. For adve isements in classified directories, an amount based upon pro rata abatement of the charge in such degree as the error or omission affected the adve isement. For information on allowances available in the event of errors or omissions in information records or in TWX or other special directories, you should contact your nearest service office. If you are not satisfied with the way aWK&T employee handles your service or billing complaint, make sure that you discuss it with a supervisor or manager. If your complaint is still not satisfactorily resolved you may call the Kentucky Public Service Commission’s UTILITY CUSTOMER INQUIRY NUMBER toll free, 1 + 800 + 772-4636. Other Utilities Unresolved complaints concerning electric, gas, water and sewage com- panies also can be referred to the Kentucky Public Service Commission’s UTILITY CUSTOMER INQUIRY NUMBER toll free, 1 + 800 + 772-4636.
