LONG DISTANCE

2. Dial 1 + the area code + the telephone number [direct dialed call] (or) 3. Dial 0 + the area code + the telephone number [credit card, collect or bill-to-a-third number call] 4. Your call will be routed through the company you have selected. Some of the following Equal Access long distance companies accept company code dialing without a previously arranged account. Some companies may require that you set up an account with them before you can use their code. This cha is based on information available at publication of this directory. Some companies may no longer offer long distance service in your area. There also may be other companies which offer service that became available a er publication of this directory. Companies listed may serve some but not all customers in this area. Toll Calling Control With PIN The purpose of “Toll Control With PIN” is to gain be er control of toll calling from your residence or business. This service is not for everyone. If you have someone in your household who cannot control their long distance, this should be an avenue for you to control the situation. In order for someone to make a long distance telephone call under the plan, he or she will first enter a PIN number that will allow for toll calling to be permi ed. Your PIN number is your choice, as well as your security code, to be used only by the person(s) whom you want to be able to make long distance calls. The Co-op does not assign PIN numbers; therefore, it is your responsibility to keep up with and know your PIN number. If this number becomes public knowledge, you are still responsible for any calls that are made from your telephone.

EQUAL ACCESS Choosing A Long Distance Company

Customers in this area now have the option of selecting a “preferred” long distance company for their “1+” and “0+” calling to points outside the South Central Bell calling zones. This “Equal Access” is available to all customers. Location providers for most WK&T telephones may also select “preferred” long distance companies for carrying “0+” (such as collect and credit card) calls to points outside South Central Bell’s calling zone. To verify your choice of a long distance company, you may contact your local telephone company and this information will be provided. Company Code Dialing Many long distance companies feature a variety of special rates, pa icularly in the areas of distance and time of day. Since your telephone service has Equal Access, you do not necessarily have to use the services of your preferred “1+” long distance company. Instead, you can use company code dialing. (See instructions and rules that apply.) Here’s how it works: 1. Dial the 7-digit code of the long distance carrier you wish to access. (See code listings on the next page.)

Please remember: You are responsible for the activity from your telephone at all times.

Also, installation and monthly fees to have this service are applicable. Should you be interested or have questions, please contact our office.
