Individual Calling Features
SINGLE NUMBER SERVICE With Single Number Service and Voice Mail installed on your telephone number, you can program that number to automatically forward calls to a series of additional phone numbers where you might be available.
Here’s how it works: With Single Number Service set up on your phone number, a caller dials that number. The caller will hear a recorded voice say that the system is trying to locate you. The service then dials the first number that you have set up as a forwarding number. If someone answers at that number, they hear a recorded voice say that someone is trying to locate you. They can then either press 1 to accept the call or hang up. If they hang up, the service will then dial the next forwarding number. This process continues until either someone accepts the call or the list is exhausted. If no one accepts the call, it is automatically forwarded to your voice mailbox. You can change the settings for Single Number Service using the Integrated Web Portal interface that is available from American Broadband.
