The colleges are strategically located throughout the District to provide convenient and affordable educational opportunities. Through its four colleges, Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) offers the following: • Transfer Courses and Programs • Occupational/Technical Courses and Programs • Remedial Courses • Continuing Education Courses and Programs IECC is recognized as a Class I District with accreditation by the Illinois Community College Board and the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. 1. Transfer Credit – Credit earned at IECC is transferable to other colleges and universities; many students earn a two-year Associate Degree at IECC, then transfer to a 4-year university. 2. Occupational/Technical – IECC offers a wide range of courses and programs for students who are seeking specific job skills or for employees who may need new training. 3. Remedial – For students who may need to upgrade basic skills in areas such as math and reading comprehension, IECC offers an in-depth listing of developmental programs to help these students prepare for higher-level courses. 4. Continuing Education – IECC also offers a full listing of continuing education courses so that students can enroll in short-term programs or courses which fit their particular interests. ...and IECC – through its four colleges – also provides a well-rounded program of events for the community...
