RESTRICTING YOUR SERVICE

If the telephone service is in your name, you are responsible for all calls made from your phone, including long distance calls, regardless of who places the call. CVTC can provide several alternatives to help prevent unwanted charges.

• Allows you to receive your messages as attach ments to an email. • Eliminates the need for an answering machine. • Delivers a voicemail message alert to phones with an alert button. • Offers a wide range of pricing and feature options to fit your budget and needs. Using The Voicemail System The voicemail system is menu driven. Listen to the voice prompts and then press the keys on your phone to select which option you would like. Accessing Voicemail The first time you access your voicemail box you will be asked to set up your mailbox, and record your name and a greeting to be played by callers (see page 32). When you have one or more unheard voice mes sages waiting, your phone will display a solid red light on the top of the phone. From Your Own Phone • Press the Messages button or dial *99. • Enter your voicemail password. • If you have new messages, the messages will be identified. • After hearing any new messages, you will be pre sented with the Voicemail Main Menu. The Main Menu options are listed in the Voicemail Main Menu chart located on page 32. From Another Phone • From an external phone either: 1. Dial the voicemail access number specifiedby your Administrator. 2. Dial your company’s main telephone number and press # (if your company has configured it this way). • When prompted, enter your 10 digit number. • When prompted, enter your voicemail password + #. • If you have new messages, the messages will be identified. After hearing any new messages, you will be present ed with the Voicemail Main Menu. The Main Menu options are listed in the Voicemail Main Menu chart located on page 32.

Restricted Sent Paid This feature allows only operator assisted toll calls to be made from your telephone. Any outgoing toll calls must be made by dialing “0” plus the number. The operator will only complete calls billed collect, billed to a calling card, or to another telephone number. Any other outgoing toll call attempts will be routed to a recording. Toll restriction does not prevent collect calls or toll calls charged to your telephone by a third party. “900” Number Restriction This feature prevents access to “900” telephone service (pay per call service). If a 900 call is attempted from your telephone, the calling party will hear a recording. This service is available only on local individual residential and business lines. Initial 900 number restrictions are provided at no charge to customers. There are charges associated with removing the restriction, and charges apply in some circumstances for the re-establishment of the restriction after it has been removed. Collect and Third Party Call Blocking This service will alert long distance operators that you do not wish to accept collect or third party charges on your telephone number. Voice Messaging (Voicemail) Copper Valley’s voicemail service includes the follow ing convenient features: • Receives messages when your line is busy or you are unavailable. • Receives and retains messages when your electric ity is out. • Allows you to check your messages from anywhere and from any phone.
