“Take Pride in America” is a national campaign that encourages every citizen to take pride in the nation’s natural and cultural resources. Protection of the quality of our natural resources should not be just the concern of the government agencies that manage them, but a concern of each and every citizen of this country. The Cordell Hull Lake Resource Management Staff supports the Take Pride in America campaign through lakeshore and park cleanup days, environmental education programs for schools and civic groups, and volunteer activities. Won’t you join us in taking pride in Cordell Hull Lake and help ensure that these precious resources will remain for future generations to use and enjoy? Your Safety - Our Concern:
Life jackets are the best insurance you can have if you’re on or around the water -- though unfortunately many of us don’t take them serious enough. The fact is, simply wearing a life jacket can save swimmers as well as non-swimmers who are suddenly in the water and may be unconscious, fatigued, in shock, inebriated, surprised, panicked -- or all of the above. Be sure you have the proper type of life jacket and wear it: Once you’re in the water, it may be too late to think about putting it on.
