Yosemite National Park: A must for visitors to the Mariposa County area is a trip to the park to take in its breathtaking beauty – spectacular falls, Half Dome and other formations. Badger Pass : Located in Yosemite National Park 23 miles south of Yosemite Valley, it is ideal for beginner and intermediate skiers. A free shuttle from the valley to the ski area is available and runs twice a day. Mariposa County Arts Council & Gallery The Mariposa County Arts Council invites you to experience and enjoy our annual, nationally recognized Storytelling Festival, quarterly concerts by a 50 member Mariposa Symphony Orchestra, Art in Education programs, Cousin Jack’s Mariposa Evenings summer music series and other fine programs throughout the year. The 5th Street Gallery in historic downtown Mariposa is a premier retail venue for over 100 regional artists, hosts regular exhibits and a K-12 grade Young Masters art competition.
