Direct Switched Line: Help is not far away, even when you can’t dial the phone. Your tele phone can automatically dial an emergency number for you. How It Works: • Lift the handset and wait 30 seconds. • The pre-designated number is automatically dialed. To Prevent Automatic Dialing: • Begin dialing within 30 seconds after lifting the handset. Expanded Direct Switched Line: Works exactly the same as Direct Switched Line without the 30 sec ond wait.

Call Forwarding Busy/No Answer: *90/*91 *92/*93 Program incoming calls to ring at another number when you are on the phone and/or when your phone goes unanswered. “Call Forwarding Busy” activation/deactivation codes are *90/*91. “Call Forwarding No-Answer” activation/deactivation codes are *92/*93. You can pro gram your phone for either one or both of these features. 900 Call Block: Prevents calls originating from your phone to “900” numbers. International Call Block: Prevent calls originating from your phone to all foreign countries.

Enhanced Ringing: Two different phone numbers can be assigned to your home tele phone line. Use one number for the adults, and a separate number for a home business, fax, or the children. You can answer the phone differently for different callers. How It Works: • When someone dials your main telephone number, you will hear ringing (one long ring). • When someone dials the other number, you will hear a special ring that identifies the number (such as two short rings). • Wait until the full ring pattern is complete before answering. You’ll know whether the call is for you, and how to greet the caller.
