Statement Of Non-Discrimination Shenandoah Telephone Company is the recipient of federal financial assistance from the Rural Utilities Service, an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and is subject to the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended, and the rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Agriculture which provide that no person in the United States on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, or hand- icap shall be excluded from participation in, admission or access to, denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimina- tion under any of this organization’s programs or activities. Ownership Of Telephone Numbers The ownership of all telephone numbers is vested in the telephone company and the company reserves the right to change the telephone number or numbers of the custom- er’s telephone station or stations, or the cen- tral office name associated with such number or numbers, or both, as the operation of the business may require. Unlisted Telephone Numbers

Each residential and busi- ness customer applying for service must satis- factorily establish credit. Credit may be established by payment of a deposit not exceeding an amount equivalent to an estimated

phone directory and Directory Assistance. Customers who have non-published phone numbers give up their right to anonymity when they dial the 911 emergency service number. Directories

two-month billing. A deposit, or an additional deposit, may also be required before service is restored after it has been suspended for nonpayment. To maintain satisfactory credit, prompt payment of all telephone bills must be made. A deposit, with interest, is refunded after one year provided that the customer is not delin- quent in the payment of the current bill and has not been delinquent in the payment of a bill within the past 12 months. If a customer’s telephone service is discon- nected, the deposit - with interest - is applied to the final bill that is issued to the customer.

of subscribers in the six-county area. Addresses are included in the listing to assist in identifying subscribers. This directory is not a mailing guide. The directory is copyrighted and repro- duction of any portion without permis- sion is prohibited. Upon receipt of a new Shentel Pages Directory, please discard your old directory since each new issue contains numerous telephone number changes as well as address changes.
