Voice Mail User Guide & Restricting Your Service

Using Voice Mail To E-Mail (Requires Web Portal Access; Contact A Customer Experience Specialist For Assistance) This option allows you to receive all voice mail messages via e-mail. You can set up your e-mail addresses (up to 50 characters) by accessing https://astac.net/how-to/ . Username is your 10-digit phone number, and your password has initially been set to 0000. 1. When you get a voice mail message, you will receive an e-mail with the message attached. 2. Open the attachment and your media player will play the message. 3. If desired, save the attachment on your PC. 4. Follow the links in the e-mail to save or delete the message from the voice mail system. If you have the sub-mailbox option, access your voice mailbox and follow the voice prompts. Total Toll Restriction Prevents access to the toll network. If a toll call is attempted from your telephone, the calling party will hear a busy signal. This service is available only on local individual residential and business lines. Total toll restriction does not prevent collect calls or toll calls charged to your telephone number by a third party – see Collect and Third Allows only operator-assisted toll calls to be made from your telephone. Any outgoing toll calls must be made by dialing “0” plus the number. The operator will only complete calls billed collect, to a calling card or to another telephone number. Any other outgoing toll call attempt will be routed to a recording. Restricted toll does not prevent collect calls or toll calls charged to your telephone number by a third party. 900 Number Restriction Prevents access to 900 telephone service (pay per call service). If a 900 call is attempted from your telephone, the calling party will hear a recording. This service is available only on local individual residential and business lines. Toll Restriction and Restricted Sent Paid also prevent 900 calls. 900 Number Restriction is provided at no charge, but there is a charge to remove this restriction. Requests to remove 900 Number

Restriction must be made in writing. Directory Assistance Deny

Denies access from your phone for 411 calls. If someone dials 411 from your telephone number they will hear a busy signal. This service does not prevent intrastate, interstate or international directory assistance calls.

Collect And Third Party Call Blocking

This service will alert long distance operators outside your calling area that you do not wish to accept collect or third party charges to your ASTAC number. ASTAC cannot guarantee oper ators will not attempt these types of billings. Unauthorized calls may be disputed if billed.
