Loggers Jamboree July 1 - July 2, 2023 Celebrating Our 63rd Annual Mid-Sierra Loggers Jamboree Sixty-three years ago, the North Fork Boosters saw the opportunity to make some money for our community after watching some of the local loggers playing around to see which of their saws would cut the best. As a result of the quick thinking of some individuals, we now have our North Fork Recreation Center. Best of all, we celebrate each 4th of July weekend with our Mid-Sierra Loggers Jamboree. This event is full of the everyday things that a regular logger does for a living, or did do in years gone by. Bucking logs, hand chopping, hand bucking, felling, choker setting, hot saw contest and axe throwing (which of course, is just done after work for the sport, but is one of the most enjoyed in our yearly competition) are among the events enjoyed.

Along with our competition in the arena, we have many food booths (such as Indian Tacos), arts and crafts, enjoyment for the children, memory T-Shirts and other items of interest. Our festivities begin on Saturday and continue through Sunday as follows: July 1, Saturday Pro-Am, 10:00 a.m., Recreation Center Horseshoe Pitching Contest, 12:00 noon Grand Parade down North Fork’s Main Street, 5:00 p.m., BBQ at Town Hall immediately following parade. Woodchoppers Ball and Queen Coronation, Recreation Center, 8:30 p.m. July 2, Sunday

Lions Club Pancake Breakfast, 7:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Town Hall Jamboree Main Events, Recreation Center, 12:00 noon. (Gates open at 10:00 a.m.) Call 559-676-7766 for more information.
