Colonel William Jones State Historic Site This carefully restored 1834 Federal-design home of the merchant employer of Abraham Lincoln offers a unique look at the early development of Indiana and the life of Colonel William Jones, who was also a politician. Connecting Spencer & Warrick counties, Boner Bridge is located north of Hatfield, IN near the junction of Red Brush and Boner Roads. Cannelton Locks and Dam The construction of this dam created a 114 mile long lake that stretches to Louisville, KY. The 1200 foot long main lock chamber can be filled or emptied in about 8 minutes and raise or lower a boat twenty-five feet. Christ of the Ohio Located on the highest hill just outside of Troy, the statue extends a silent message of peace and serves as landmark to pilots and rivermen in transit on the Ohio River. The statue is the work of Herbert Jogerst, a sculptor from Germany.

The Dubois County Museum calls itself one of the largest county museums in the state of Indiana with over 50,000 square feet of display space and over 41,000 pieces in its collection (with over 9,000 pieces on display). You are invited to take a step back in time by viewing the exhibits on Archaeology, German Heritage, schools, religion, Memorial Hospital, wood manufacturing, Military, sports, antique agricultural machinery, and model trains. Step into a complete German Log House. View the Wildlife Adventure Exhibit Room that displays local animals, pictures of area wildlife enthusiasts, and many of the animals taken from North America and Africa from the collection of Frank Fromme. Stroll Main Street Dubois County and view the seven teen rooms portraying life at the turn of the 20th century. Children can visit the hands-on Little Pioneers area that allows them to play in the one-room schoolhouse, the Lewis and Clark expedition boat, the dress up area and the log reading nook. Take in the beautiful hand painted murals of towns and cities in Dubois County. Learn about the business pioneers of the county with the Business Hall of Fame. Memberships to the museum are available. Admission is charged, but free to all members with a paid yearly member ship. Come see, discover, and celebrate Our Heritage at the Dubois County Museum.
