Custom Calling Features
Three-Way Calling: Three-Way Calling makes it possible for you to talk with two people in different places at the same time. How It Works: • Get party A on the line. • Depress the cradle button for only a second. This puts party A on hold. • Wait for a dial tone, then dial party B. When B answers, you may talk privately, before including A. • Complete the three-way connection by again depressing the cradle button which will add party A to the conversation. If you get a busy signal or no answer when calling party B, depress the cradle button to • Party A or B can disconnect by simply hanging up. You and the remaining party may continue the conversation. Extension Intercom: Use your phone to talk with someone in another part of the house, garage, workshop or barn – wherever there is another phone. How It Works: • Lift the handset and listen for a dial tone. • Dial your own phone number. You will hear a busy tone indicating that you have dialed your own number. • Hang up. • Listen for the phone to ring. The phone will stop ringing when someone picks up the extension. • Lift the handset and you will be connected. Speed Dialing: Speed Dialing enables you to place local or long distance calls by dialing only one or two digits. How To Set Your Phone Up For Speed Dialing: return to party A. How To Cancel:
• Dial one of the Speed Dialing Codes: 2-9 = 8-Code Speed Dialing, 20-50 = 30-Code Speed Dialing. • Now dial the complete number you want to record including “1” and the area code for long distance. • Depress the # button. • A confirmation tone will indicate that the number has been properly recorded. • Repeat the above steps with different Speed Dialing Codes for each number you record. How To Speed Dial: • Dial the appropriate one or two digit code assigned to the person you want to call. How To Change Your Dialing List: Repeat the above steps in the “How to set your phone up for Speed Dialing” section by simply replacing a phone number in a previously recorded code. Busy Redial: You can save time dialing busy numbers over and over. Your phone rings as soon as the line is free, and automatically connects you. How It Works: • When you hear a busy signal, press and release the cradle button. Listen for a special tone. • If you have already hung up, lift the handset and listen for a normal dial tone. • Press *66 . • If the called line is still busy, hang up. Your phone will check the number for up to 30 minutes. • A special callback ring alerts you if the line becomes free (some phones ring normally). • Lift the handset to automatically place the call. To Cancel Your Redial Request: • Depress and release the cradle button. Listen for special tone. • If you’ve already hung up, lift the handset and listen for a normal dial tone. • Press *86 . • Listen for confirmation tone or announce- ment. Hang up.
