Independence Day Celebration This annual event is held in South- west City and features gospel music, watermelon feed, chicken barbecue, and ends with an exciting fireworks display. July Jubilee This event is sponsored by the Sugar Creeks Betterment Asso- ciation. Held in Pineville, it features demonstrations of old-fashioned skills, music, a flea market and other outdoor activities around the square. McDonald County Fair This July fair takes place at the fair- grounds in Anderson. Livestock judging, concessions and much more. August City-Wide Garage Sale Held each year in Goodman on the second Saturday in August. Jesse James Days Activities take place around the square in Pineville to commemorate the 1938 filming of Jesse James. Henry Fonda, Tyrone Power and Randolph Scott starred in the Darryl F. Zanuck production. September City Wide Garage Sale Seneca Indian Country Jamboree This event takes place in Seneca and features an annual crafts show and car show. Texas Longhorn Show Held annually in Noel either in September or October (date varies). October Flaming Fall Review Don’t miss driving through the Ozarks in October. You’ll see the most beautiful fall foliage you’ve ever seen surrounded by magnifi- cent limestone bluffs and clear streams. October Fest 2nd weekend in Oct. Annually, Sat. only. Classic cars, scarecrow con- test, candle making, arts & crafts.

Veterans’ Day Celebration This celebration is held at Pineville Elementary School. It is sponsored by Pineville/Jane American Legion Post 392. Veterans’ Day Event Held at Southwest City School. Veterans’ Day Program Held at White Rock School in Jane. This holiday parade is held in Noel, the Christmas City! Early in the week, about 7,000 luminaries are lighted. Each year, thousands of Christmas cards come through the Noel Post Office and receive its nationally famous postmark. Christmas Parade Seneca Christmas Parade – Pineville It will be held on a Saturday in December. Festivities begin @ 1:00 p.m. For more information call (417) 223-4368. Goodman Christmas Parade This parade usually takes place the first or second weekend of the month. It is sponsored by the Veterans’ Day Salute Held at Noel School. December Christmas City Parade

Santa visits Pineville’s historic town square. Sponsored by the Sugar Creeks Betterment Association. Southwest City Christmas Parade This parade is held in Southwest City, attracting onlookers from three states to join in the fun.
