CUSTOMER INFORMATION
Warning The law of the State of Missouri makes it unlawful for any person to: Make a telephone call during which he makes any comment, request, suggestion or proposal that is lewd and lascivious; or make a telephone call, whether or not conversation ensues, without disclosing his identity and with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any person at the called number; or make or cause the telephone of another repeatedly or continuously to ring, with intent to harass any person at the called number; or individually or in conspiracy or concerted action with other persons make repeated telephone calls, during which conversation ensues, solely to harass any person at the called number. It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly permit any telephone under his control to be used for any purpose prohibited by this section. Any person who violates the provisions of this act is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction, be punished by confinement in the county jail for not more than one year or by fine not exceeding one thousand dollars, or both such fine and confinement. Any offense committed by use of a telephone as set forth in the foregoing section shall be deemed to have been committed at either the place where the telephone call or calls originated or at the place where the telephone call or calls were received. This directory lists addresses of our customers which may or may not be the customer’s actual mailing address. Rights and Responsibilities of the Telephone Company and Our Customers The Telephone Company will issue a bill not less than every 28 days or more than 31 days (except for number changes), outlining your toll calls, local service charges, and federal, state, and local taxes. Payment will be due upon receipt. In the event your bill becomes delinquent, a notice will be sent before disconnecting your service. If your service is disconnected, a service fee will be applied to restore service.
Under our billing procedures and subject to rules established by the Missouri Public Service Commission, we may require a deposit or guarantee of payment. You may contact American Broadband and Rock Port Telephone Company during business hours, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Oregon Farmers Mutual Telephone Company’s business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. & 2:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. The following are circumstances when you will be required to contact the office: In the event your bill becomes delinquent when a member of your family has a medical emergency requiring the continuance of your telephone service, please call the business office and we may continue your telephone service during such an emergency for up to 21 days. You may arrange to make a payment that will be due during a period of customer absence. This telephone company is regulated by the Missouri Public Service Commission, and you can make an informal complaint in writing or by telephone or personal appearance to the Commission without the need of legal assistance.
