This sprawling county boasts 1,078 square miles, including almost 50 square miles of water, breathtaking mountain views and some of the best hunting and fishing spots you will find anywhere. Culture abounds in Jackson County. The historic Jackson County cou house square is included on the National Registry of Historic Places. The county is home to three depot museums: the Sco sboro Depot Museum, Bridgepo Depot and the Stevenson Railroad Depot Museum. Jackson County is also proud to be the home of No heast Alabama Community College, where students can earn associate degrees and ce ifications in fields ranging from industrial electronics to theatre. The theatre program at NACC is one of the best in the region, providing ente ainment to the residents of Jackson County with a new production every few months and an annual summer youth theatre workshop.
