The Telephone Company is authorized to charge a $40.00 service call if the repair technician makes a trip to your residence or business and the trouble is determined to be in your telephone equipment or wiring. Disconnect all telephones, cordless phones, answering machines, etc. 2. Visually check all exposed housewire for possible prob lems and make necessary repairs. 3. Plug in phones one at a time and listen for dial tone. 4. Take your customer owned phone to another location and try it there. Caution: Any electronic equip ment, such as cordless phones, should be unplugged from the telephone line during storms to avoid damage.
