Enhanced Calling Features (cont’d)
SELECTIVE CALL FORWARDING Decide which calls you want to forward to another number. Others will ring at your phone as usual. To turn on the service: 1. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone. 2. Press “ ★ 63” (rotary phones, dial “1163”). 3. Listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature is currently stored in your forward list. 4. Follow the voice instructions and dial “3” to turn the feature ON or OFF. To add the last caller to your forward list: 1. Press “#01#” (rotary phones, dial “1201”). To enter your “forward to” number: 1. The first time you turn on the service, you’ll be asked to enter the number you’d like your special numbers to be forwarded to. From then on, the system will simply remind you of the current “forward to” number. 2. If the current number is correct, dial “1”. 3. If you wish to change the number, dial “0” and follow the voice instructions. To hear the phone numbers on your list: 1. Dial “1,” then listen to the voice instructions which follow. To add a number to your list: 1. Press “#” (rotary phones, dial “12”). 2. Follow the voice instructions, storing up to 31 numbers. To remove a number from your list: 1. Press “ ★ ” (rotary phones, dial “11”). 2. Follow the voice instructions to remove any or all numbers. To hear the instructions again: 1. Dial “0”. SELECTIVE CALL REJECTION Program your phone to reject calls from unwanted callers. Others will ring through as usual. To turn on the service: 1. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone. 2. Press “ ★ 60” (rotary phones, dial “1160”). 3. Listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature is currently ON or OFF and how many (if any) numbers are currently stored in your rejection list. 4. Follow the voice instructions and dial “3” to turn the feature ON or OFF. To add the last caller to your acceptance list: 1. Press “#01#” (rotary phones, dial “1201”). To hear the phone numbers on your list: 1. Dial “1” then listen to the voice instructions which follow. To add a number to your list: 1. Press “#” (rotary phones, dial “12”). 2. Follow the voice instructions, storing up to 31 numbers.
SELECTIVE CALL REJECTION (Cont’d) To remove a number from your list: 1. Press “ ★ ” (rotary phones, dial “11”). 2. Follow the voice instructions to remove any or all numbers. To hear the instructions again: 1. Dial “0”. SPEED CALLING 30 Quickly dial thirty of your most frequently called numbers. To program your Speed Calling list: 1. Lift the handset & listen for the dial tone. 2. Press “ ★ 75” (rotary phones, dial “1175”). Wait for the dial tone. 3. Dial a two-digit speed code. (Choose any number, 20 through 49). 4. Dial the phone number you wish to assign to that speed code. 5. Press the “#” key (rotary phones wait 4 seconds after dialing). To call someone on your Speed Calling list: 1. Lift the handset & listen for the dial tone. 2. Dial the two-digit speed code, then press the “#” key. (On a rotary phone, wait 4 seconds after dialing). To change your Speed Calling list: 3. Dial the two-digit speed code you wish to change. 4. Listen for the cancellation tone, then the dial tone. Follow steps 1-3 above to program your Speed Calling list. TOLL RESTRICTION FEATURE To Place a Call: 1. Dial the long distance number you are calling imme- diately followed by your 4-digit Security Code. 2. If you do not enter the 4-digit Security Code, or if it is entered incorrectly, you will hear a recorded message that says “This call is not permitted” . Steps 1 and 2 must be done before each toll call is made. To Change Your Security Code: 1. Press “ ★ ” (star button) then “97”. 2. Dial the old 4-digit code, then the new 4-digit code (the default setting is “0000”). 3. Hang up. Wait 5 seconds. 4. Press “ ★ 97”, dial the old 4-digit code, then the new 4-digit code. You will hear a high pitch tone and that confirms your code change has been completed. Note: Marseilles Customers (795 prefix) can dial the following numbers without the Security Code: 911, 795, 433, 434, 431, 357, 500, 746, 750, 794, & 415 CALL-HOME 800 NUMBER Enjoy peace of mind by getting your own 800 number to share with family and friends so they can reach you at home quickly and easily. 1.
