Lunch is served at 11am and reservations must be made at least one day in advance by 11am. To make a reservation, call 559-846-9329. Transportation: MV Transportation is the Dispatch Service Provider for Kerman. A Curbside Handicap Bus Pickup with Same-Day Scheduling, or 1-Day Advanced Scheduling for seniors. Dispatch number: 1-855-612-5184. PARTNERS WITH THE KERMAN SENIOR CENTER: Foster Grandparent Program: Stipend-based program bridging the gap between generations. Senior Volunteer opportunities that provide one-to-one

mentoring and emotional support to underserved infants, children, and teens throughout Fresno/Madera Counties. This program promotes literacy and academic success as well as fostering social-emotional and cognitive-behavioral development. It also promotes quality of life for seniors, allowing senior volunteers to extend their love and wisdom by nurturing a younger generation. For more information, call 559-263-8910. HICAP: HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program) provides free, confidential one-on-one counseling, education, and assistance to individuals and their families on Medicare, Long-Term Care insurance, other health insurance related issues, and planning ahead for Long-Term Care needs. Please call HICAP at 559-224-9117 Kerman Historical Society: A local organization with a special passion for the history of the Kerman area. Their goal is to collect and preserve items, photos, documents, stories, and all else concerning the History and peoples of Kerman. If you are interested in joining the Historical Society, or to attend their meetings, call 559-846-9329. Senior Companion Program: A volunteer program for seniors who in turn provide care giving services to other seniors who are considered at-risk. Seniors, for a stipend, engage at-risk seniors in activities such as reading to them, listening to them, playing games, arranging transportation, going for walks, and helping them with meal preparation and light housework. Companions can advocate and provide emotional support.
