Speed Calling 8 Now you can call up to 8 of your most frequently dialed numbers just by dialing a one-digit code. This includes long distance DDD numbers. To Establish Your Speed Calling List • Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone. • Dial *74. • Dial one of the 8 one-digit access code numbers (2-9). • Then dial the number you wish to Speed Code. (For long distance entries, dial “1” and the area code before the number.) • Listen for confirmation tone to indicate your Speed Calling number is established. • At any time, you may repeat this process for each number you wish to Speed Code, assigning each a different number. • Simply follow the same steps for establishing your list. A new num ber automatically cancels out the corresponding existing number. Speed Calling 30 Now you can call up to 30 of your most frequently dialed numbers just by dialing a two-digit code. This includes long distance DDD numbers. It’s a real time-saver! To Establish Your Speed Calling List • Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone. • Dial *75. • Dial one of the 30 two-digit access code numbers (20-49). • Then dial the number you wish to Speed Code. (For long distance entries, dial “1” and the area code before the number.) • Listen for confirmation tone to indicate your Speed Calling number is established. • At any time, you may repeat this process for each number you wish to Speed Code, assigning each a different number. Voice Mail Voice Messaging Answers A Call

A call is answered by voice messaging when you do not answer your phone after a designated number of rings, or when you are already on the phone. The caller hears your greeting and can leave a message. You Can Record And Send Messages Voice messaging allows you to record a message and send it to some one or to several people at the same time. You can also reply to a message from a caller. How Your Mailbox Works Your mailbox contains your messages, your personalized greeting, and your password. You play your messages at your home phone or any other touchtone phone by calling a system access number to reach your mailbox. You also record your greeting, create your password, and compose messages through your mailbox. All your interaction with the voice messaging system is confidential; no one else has access to your mailbox. Voice Messaging Guides You At each step, prompts tell you which key to press or what your options are. Your Telephone Any telephone works with voice messaging; no special equipment is required. For complete system use, a touchtone telephone is required. Please contact Highland Telephone Co-op for more details. To Access Voice Mail Dial 319-3001 within the calling area. Dial the area code if outside Highland’s area as you would any other long distance number. Fol low the instructions. The mailbox number is your home phone number. Your password the first time you dial into the voice mail system is the last 4 numbers of your phone number backwards. Caller ID Caller ID displays the name and number of your incoming calls on a special device. Per Call Blocking Per Call Blocking (*67) suppresses the delivery of your number to the party you are calling for the duration of ONE CALL. Dial *67 and wait for a second dial tone prior to making the call. Call Return Call Return (*69) automatically calls back the last INCOMING number.
