The Soroptimist International of Fal lon assumed sponsorship of the program and found a permanent location; the vacant Assembly of God Church at 310 East Court Street is where the Senior Center was locat ed until June of 2017. This was their home for nearly 45 years. The Coalition for Senior Citizens, a nonprofit corporation, was established in 1991 and is the current sponsor and governing board for all programs and services to be provided at the William N. Pennington Life Center. The mission and purpose of the Life Center will remain: to develop, coordinate and deliver a comprehensive set of supportive services for the William N. Pennington Life Center— services designed to ensure seniors lead a meaningful and dignified life, while maintain ing a healthy, safe, secure and prolonged independence.
