The Churchill County Museum is funded by Churchill County and exhib- its are supported through donations and funds provided by the Churchill County Museum Association (CCMA), a private nonprofit support group. Displays depict the day-to-day life of residents from the earliest Native Americans to the emigrants, early settlers and “entrymen,” as the Recla- mation Project homesteaders were known. The CCMA’s most recent construction is a beautiful 6,750 sq. ft. addition to the museum’s main building. This area houses a Children’s Discovery Room with hands-on stations that children and adults will enjoy, as well as the Dodge-Fitz Changing Exhibit Gallery, which features temporary dis- plays of historic photographs, art and traveling history exhibits.
