OPTIONAL SERVICES & FEATURES Caller ID What Caller ID Does for You: Allows you to determine who is calling before answering. Enhances security and helps eliminate harassing calls. Your Caller ID display device can store the phone numbers of people who called, even while you were out. You can easily review these num- bers and return their calls. To Use Caller ID: 1. Wait for the start of the second full ring of your phone set. 2. The number of the calling party will appear on your display. For more information, please refer to the instruc- If you subscribe to Caller ID, it is because you want to know who is calling. However, some peo- ple choose to block the identity of their numbers. Now you can choose not to receive calls from unidentified numbers. Anonymous Call Rejection routes calls from blocked numbers to a recorded announcement advising the caller that you do not accept anony- mous calls. The recording also advises callers on how to unblock their number in order to reach you. *77 activates the service and *87 deactivates the service. *82 unblocks your name and number from showing up on the Caller ID. DON’T FORGET… In addition to the Advanced Calling Services, standard Custom Calling Services are also available from your telephone company. These services include: Call Waiting - Allows you to answer a sec- ond call when you’re already on the phone. Prevents missed calls. Cancel Call Waiting - Lets you turn off Call Waiting on important calls when you don’t wish to be interrupted. Call Forwarding - Redirects your calls to another phone number. Eliminates waiting for important calls. Three-Way Calling - Lets you set up three- way conference calls. Saves time and lets you bring your friends and family together. Speed Calling - Allows fast, accurate dial- ing. You can call selected phone numbers quickly by dialing a short code. Do Not Disturb - Prevents your phone from ringing when you don’t want inter- ruptions. Callers who know your Personal Identification Number can still ring you. Personal Ringing - Allows your line to have up to three phone numbers, each with its own special ring. Now you can determine for whom a call is intended.
