It took two years to complete the castle like home. The interior rooms still feature Church’s eclectic furniture and paintings by the artist and his friends. Church also spent 40 years designing the landscaped grounds from a 250-acre treeless field into what it is today, complete with a lake, park, and scenic views of the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson River. This park is located on the edge of the Hudson River and features a boat launch, picnic areas and a gazebo. Riverside Park also hosts summer festivals and concerts.
