If a customer-requested service call is made, and it is determined that the problem is located in your telephone or insidewiring, and not in the Dobson facilities, youwill be billed for the service call. Additional Line If you are frequent users of the telephone, or if a modem or fax is needed for your personal computer, an additional line with a different telephone number can be installed in your home. Looking For Symptoms Before calling the telephone company, do some checking on your own. This will save you time and money. When you check, look for the following: A service charge will be applied if a serviceman is dispatched and the problem was a phone off the hook. This charge will apply even if someone, other than the person on the account, calls to report the trouble. If you have just one phone that isn’t working, borrow another working phone and plug it into the same jack. If the borrowed telephone works, it can be assumed that it is the telephone that needs repair.
