Determine the Source of the Problem Before You Call

If It’s Your Phone… Leave the broken telephone unplugged and contact the company you purchased or leased it from for the repair. BBT is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the telephone lines to your home or business. It is important to try to make sure the problem is not in your telephone set, because if we come out and find the problem is in your set, you will be charged a $45.00 premises visit fee and an additional $75.00 per half hour main tenance of service fee for each repair visit. If the problem is not in your telephone set, call toll free 1-800-520-0092 .

If It’s BBT’s Line… Again, if you’ve determined that the trouble is not in your telephone set but in the telephone line, please call BBT for repair service. If you have reported that you are unable to make or receive calls and your line is out of order for 24 hours or longer from the

time of the report, you are entitled to a credit on your next bill for part of the local service charges. If the adjustment doesn’t appear on your next bill, call your business office. To contact BBT’s repair service, call 1-800-520-0092 .
