Illinois Digital Divide Elimination Fund Illinois’ citizens must have the skills to compete. Computer skills are already required for nearly every job. The good, high-paying jobs being created now require computer skills even more. Unfortunately, not all of Illinois’ citizens have access to a computer at home or at school. Less than one in four minority low-income families have a computer and Internet access at home. Many inner city and rural schools cannot afford equipment to create needed computer access. Lack of access to computers is creating a “digital divide” between those who grow up with the new technology and those who don’t. All Donations Go To: • Provide computer and Internet access • Provide computer skills training • Enrich school programs • Train teachers • Bridge the digital divide You Can Help “Bridge” The Digital Divide! Here’s How You Can Contribute. Contact the business office; indicate the amount you would like to donate each month. One-time Contributions Are Also Welcome. Please send to: DCCA Digital Divide Elimination Fund 2nd Floor 620 East Adams Street Springfield, IL 62701

Restricted Call Registry Fact Sheet Registration Illinois law adopts the National Do Not Call Registry, which is managed by the Federal Trade Commission, giving consumers the benefit of being included in both state and national registries with the convenience of free one-step enrollment. Illinois residential subscribers can register their telephone numbers by Internet or telephone.

Internet Registration www.donotcall.gov Toll Free Telephone Registration Call from the number you wish to register 1-888-382-1222 TTY – 1-866-290-4236

• Cell phone numbers may be registered. • Telephone numbers remain on the registry unless disconnected or changed by the subscriber. • Business numbers should not be registered since they are not covered under the law. While enrollment in the Restricted Call Registry will reduce the number of calls consumers receive, it will not eliminate all unsolicited calls. Placing your telephone number on the registry won’t stop calls from political organizations, charities, or survey calls (that are not sales calls).
