International & Other Calling Dialing Instructions

To Place a Call to the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Puerto Rico & the Virgin Islands Calls to these points can be dialed in the same manner as long dis- tance calls within the United States. Simply dial “1” plus the appro- priate area code and the local number. Discounts to Canada 35% discounts apply between 6 p.m. and midnight Monday through Saturday, and from 8 a.m. to midnight Sunday. A 60% discount applies from midnight to 8 a.m. Monday through Sunday. Discounts apply to total charges for dial station calls and to additional minute charges for Operator-assisted station and person calls. To Call Mexico Most locations in Mexico can be reached by using the international dialing (011+) instructions. If you cannot use international dialing from your telephone, some Mexican cities still can be dialed directly using special access codes with City Codes. Mexico City: dial 90 + 5 (the City Code) + local number Northwest Mexico: dial 70 + City Code (2 or 3 digits beginning with “6”) + local number Conference Calls You can talk with several people in different places at the same time by dialing the Operator and saying you wish to make a conference call. Give the Operator the names and the telephone numbers of the people you want to talk to. You may want to arrange a calling time in advance.

You can make international calls directly from certain telephone exchanges. For more information on service and availability in your area, call your service representative. Station-To-Station Calls To dial international calls and get the lowest rate, dial in sequence: 1. The International Access Code - 011 2. The Country Code; 3. The City Code; 4. The local telephone number; 5. The “#” button - where the telephone is equipped with Tone-dialing.

For Example: To place a station-to-station call to Frankfurt, Germany, dial: *Tone dialing saves additional time by using this step. Operator-Assisted Calls To dial person-to-person, collect, calling card and billed-to-a-third- number international calls, follow the instructions given above but use “01” for the International Access code. After the call is dialed, the Operator will come on the line to ask for information such as the name of the person you are calling or your calling card number. After dialing any international call, allow at least 45 seconds for the ring to start. Additional Assistance or Information Dial “0” (Operator) if you need assistance: 1. To obtain a telephone number you don’t know 2. To obtain City Codes; 3. For help in completing a call; 4. For credit on a call on which you had difficulty, e.g. reached a wrong number.
