LONG DISTANCE

Your Volcano Options

THERE ARE THREE BASIC KINDS OF LONG DISTANCE CALLS: Customer-Dialed, Station-to-Station Call is the least expensive type of call. If the customer dials the call direct without the Operator’s assistance, the customer is charged at the lowest rate. Operator-Assisted Station-to-Station Call requires the Operator assistance for completion. The customer will talk with anyone who answers, but needs an Operator’s aid to reach the number or for other reasons. Examples of such calls are coin, collect and calling card calls; calls billed to third number; code billing (special billing numbers, guest, time and charges and sequence calls) . Person-to-Person Call , the most expensive type of call for those occasions when the customer wishes to speak directly to a particular person, tele phone, department or office reached through a customer’s switchboard (PBX).

TYPES OF CALLS Station-to-Station

Coin Calls From coin phones, see the instruction card on or near the phone, or dial the Operator. Conference You can talk with several people in different places at the same time. Tell the Operator you wish to make a “conference” call. Wide Area Telecommunications Service (Inward WATS)
