Warm Line Be prepared for emergency situations. How It Works:

Warm Line Service lets you turn your ordinary phone into a security device. This feature is great for people with small children, the elderly and people with disabilities. With Warm Line, just 16 seconds after taking the phone off the hook, a number is automatically dialed. For regular calls, you just pick up the phone and dial any ten-digit telephone number within 16 seconds. To Use Warm Line: 1. Lift the handset and wait 16 seconds. 2. After 16 seconds, the number is automatically dialed. The emer- gency number to be dialed is:__________________________. To Prevent Dialing: 1. Lift the handset and dial the ten-digit number you wish to call be- fore 16 seconds have elapsed. Notes: ➤ When you subscribe to Warm Line you choose a predesignat- ed number which can only be changed by contacting DTC at 615-529-2955 or 615-588-1277 (Carthage Area). Miscellaneous Intercept of Calls to Unassigned Lines If you’re moving or changing your number you will be sure not to miss any calls. This is great for businesses that are relocating or for the residential customer who just has too many friends to notify of their new number. Upon contacting the phone company with news of your move or number change, simply request your calls be intercepted. The an- nouncement states “the number you have dialed is no longer a work- ing number – the new number is __________________________.” Your announcement can stay in place up to 6 months, ensuring that you telephone and also restrict collect and third party billed calls. Call Screening is available in four different packages: (1) Toll Denial – your telephone will not allow any toll or 1 + calls to be made from your phone; (2) Collect Call Restriction – stops anyone from calling your telephone collect; (3) 3rd Party Restriction – stops anyone from charging toll calls to your telephone number from another telephone number; and (4) 3rd Party/Collect Call Restriction – combines options 2 and 3, pro- hibiting both collect and 3rd party billed calls. won’t lose a customer or a friend. Three-Way Calling Talk with two people in different places – at the same time. How It Works: When you’re talking with someone, you can add a third person to the call. It’s easy to coordinate family schedules or hold a telephone con- ference with business colleagues. To Add A Third Person To The Call: 1. Press and quickly release the “switchhook” to place the first per- son on hold. 2. Listen for the dial tone. 3. Dial the third person’s ten-digit phone number. (If you have speed calling, you may dial one of your codes instead.) 4. When the third person answers, you can talk privately before mak- ing it a three-way conversation. 5. To make the three-way connection, press and quickly release the “switchhook.” You can now talk with both people at the same time. To Cancel The Three-Way Connection: 1. If the third person did not answer or you wish to disconnect them, just press and quickly release the “switchhook.” You’ll be recon- nected to the person holding. 2. Or if either of the two people hang up, you can continue talking with the remaining person. To End The Call Completely: 1. Simply hang up. Note: ➤ The “switchhook” is the button the handset pushes down when you hang up the phone. Some telephones have a Link or Flash key you can press instead.
