McDonough Telephone Cooperative Policy on Subscriber-Owned Equipment The following is the cooperative policy on subscriber-owned equipment: 1. Members are required to own and connect their own telephone equipment. 2. Members are permitted to install their own inside wiring. 3. All subscriber-owned equipment will be connect- ed with FCC-approved standard jack and plug. 4. Members may contact our business office with any questions concerning purchase, installation or maintenance of customer premise equipment.

These are pictures of the different Network Interface Devices (NIDs) McDonough Telephone currently has in use. To troubleshoot problems with your telephone service, open the cover of your NID and plug a working telephone into the test jack. If you get a dial tone, the problem is in your inside wiring or equipment. If you do not get a dial tone, the problem is outside your home. Call our repair department at 611 from your home phone or from a cellular phone, or outside our service area, dial 1-309-776-3214.
